Four kinds of party and what to ask

• At home: is there enough room for the children and the adults who stay, and do you need to give the neighbours a heads-up
• Apartment function room: how to book, the hours you may use, whether furniture is provided, and what applies to outside visitors
• Restaurant: is there a private table or corner, may you bring a cake, may an outside entertainer visit, and how long can you stay
• Play centre: what the party package includes, whether you may add outside activities, and which time slots are open

Ask for the answers in writing, which are harder to misremember.

Apartment function rooms: what to ask management

We do not know the rules of any particular building, so this is a list of questions, not answers:

• How do you book the room, and how far ahead can you hold it
• Which hours can you use, and when must you hand it back
• Are tables and chairs provided, or do you bring your own
• Are there limits on noise or music
• Do outside visitors, such as a face painter, need to register at the gate

Once you have the answer about visitors, send the artist's name and arrival time to the security desk so guests are not held up at the entrance.

Restaurants: ask about a table for the artist

The artist needs 1 table and 2 chairs. In a restaurant this is the part most likely to cause trouble, so ask first:

• May an outside supplier run an activity for children
• Is there a corner with room for a table that does not block the staff carrying food
• If the party is on an outdoor terrace, is there shade, and where would you move if it rains

If it rains, we move indoors.

Face painting in District 7: how booking works

District 7 is one of the areas where we take bookings. It is not our office address, and we accept events across Vietnam. The page on face painting in District 7 has more about this area.

To ask about a date, message us on Zalo at 0908 980 603 with the date, start and end times, the kind of place (home, function room, restaurant or play centre, no need to name it), the number of children and anyone with sensitive skin. Children can choose their design before you book. We cannot promise every colour suits every child, so please tell us early.

Our public prices are 500,000₫ for 1 hour and 900,000₫ for 2 hours, with longer bookings agreed separately, shown on the face painting prices page. As an estimate, each artist paints about 10 to 15 faces per hour, depending on the design. For a big event we have up to 5 artists. See real pictures in the photo gallery.

A weekend schedule

This plan is organised around the whole day rather than minute by minute:

• A few days before: settle the type of party, message the place, count the children and ask about face painting dates. Weekend dates fill up more easily, so ask early
• The day before: remind parents of the end time, tell the security desk, and check the forecast if you are outdoors
• Morning or afternoon: mornings are usually cooler for outdoor parties, while afternoons suit little ones who nap at lunchtime. Choose for your own guest list
• During the party: welcome guests, open the painting table, then cake and party bags

FAQ: birthday parties in District 7

Do you have an office in District 7? No. District 7 is an area where we take bookings, not our office address.

What does the artist need at the venue? 1 table and 2 chairs. Outdoors, choose a shaded spot, and if it rains we move indoors.

Can I bring a face painter to a restaurant or play centre? That depends on the place's own rules. Ask first about outside visitors and about space for a table.
