Pick a theme a child can explain

A good theme is short enough for your child to say out loud: "dinosaurs", "my superhero party", "ocean day". Once you have it, the other choices get easier, from the cake and the colours to the face painting.

The theme can go on the invitation too. On our birthday invitation page you pick the face your child loves, type the name, date and place, and get a picture to send on Zalo. Your child can also choose a design before you book, so the face they wear at the party is the one they asked for.

Jungle, superheroes, princesses and the ocean

Here is how some themes connect to designs you can see in our photo gallery:

• Superheroes: the gallery has a boy in a cap with a bat mask and a boy with a red and yellow Iron Man face.
• Princesses: look at the girl with a pink and blue crown and the girl with a green and gold crown.
• Jungle and the ocean: choose the animal or sea creature your child loves most, then message us to ask whether we can paint it.

If your theme is not in the photos, send us the idea before the day.

Planning around heat and rain

Saigon is warm and humid for most of the year, and rain can arrive without much warning. A few habits help:

• If the party is outdoors, choose a shaded spot for the guests and for the painting table. When we paint outside, our setup needs a table, two chairs and some shade.
• Decide on an indoor backup early. If it rains, we move the face painting indoors, and it helps if the whole party can follow.

Home or an apartment function room

At home you decide everything. Choose one corner for the painting table, away from the food, with room for a short queue of children waiting their turn.

In an apartment function room, ask the building management directly about booking times, rules for outside entertainers, decorations and cleaning. We take bookings in District 2 and District 7, and events across Vietnam. We can talk with you in English or Vietnamese.

A simple running order

Here is one way to fill two hours.

1. Arrival. Face painting opens as soon as the first guests are there, so early arrivals have something to do while the others come in. 2. Painting and short games. 3. Cake and food, which you arrange. 4. A last activity and photos. If you would like a show, our partner teams do circus and magic at 800,000₫ per hour, and bubble shows too. Our estimate is that one artist paints about 10 to 15 faces an hour, depending on the design. So 15 guests is roughly 1 to 1.5 hours for one artist. Our prices are 500,000₫ for 1 hour and 900,000₫ for 2 hours, and longer bookings are agreed separately.

FAQ: birthday face painting

Can my child choose the design? Yes. Children can choose a design before you book.

What if my child has sensitive skin? Tell us before you book. We cannot promise that every colour suits every child.

What do you need at the party? A table, two chairs and a shaded spot if you are outdoors. If it rains, we move indoors.
