How much does face painting cost in Vietnam?
If you would rather book a painter: from 500,000₫ an hour.
How much does face painting cost in Vietnam? With Facepainting Việt Nam it is 500,000₫ for one hour and 900,000₫ for two hours, and anything longer is agreed separately. The total for your event depends on how long you book, how many artists you need and where the event is. This guide shows how to work out your own number before you ask for a quote.
Our public prices
Our prices are set by time, not by the number of children:
- 500,000₫ for 1 hour of face painting
- 900,000₫ for 2 hours of face painting
- Longer than 2 hours: agreed separately
The price for two hours is lower than twice the price for one. The full list sits on our face painting prices page. We take bookings in District 2 and District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, and we take events across Vietnam.
What changes the total
Four things move the total up or down:
- Hours. This is the main one, because you pay for time. One hour and two hours have a public price, and a longer booking is agreed separately.
- Number of artists. A large event can have up to 5 artists. If you need more than one, ask us for a quote that matches your event.
- Location. Tell us the address, or the area of Vietnam, when you ask, so we can confirm the total for that place.
- Other acts. A circus or magic act is run by our partner team at 800,000₫ per hour. A bubble show is also run by a partner team, so ask us for its price.
The number of children is not part of the price. If fewer children turn up than you planned, the price for your booking stays the same, because it is set by the hour.
How many hours you actually need
Work backwards from the children who will really want a design. By our estimate, each artist paints about 10 to 15 faces an hour, depending on the design. Treat it as a planning figure. Simple cheek designs go faster and detailed faces take longer, so your real number can sit at either end of the range.
- 1 artist for 1 hour: about 10 to 15 children
- 1 artist for 2 hours: about 20 to 30 children
A small party of around 10 children fits one hour. Around 20 children needs two. Our guide on how long to book a face painter for a birthday party walks through parties of 10, 20 and 30 children.
Several artists and long events
For a bigger crowd you can add artists, up to 5. By the same estimate, five artists working for two hours can paint roughly 100 to 150 faces. Events that run longer than two hours, such as a school fair or a company family day, are agreed separately, so send us the event hours and the number of children you expect.
If the worry is a long queue, a second artist can solve it better than an extra hour, because two artists paint at the same time. Our article on how many face painters your event needs gives a simple formula you can try with your own numbers.
How to get a quote
Message us on Zalo or call 0908 980 603, or use the contact page. We communicate in English or Vietnamese. It helps to send:
- The date and the hours you have in mind
- The venue or area, and whether it is indoors or outdoors
- How many children you expect, and how many artists you are considering
- Any child with sensitive skin, so we can plan before the day
On the day you prepare 1 table and 2 chairs, plus a shaded spot if the event is outdoors. If it rains, we move indoors. Children can choose a design before you book. We cannot promise that every colour suits every child, so tell us about sensitive skin when you enquire.
